🇬🇭 Flagship Initiative — Launching 2027

The Ghana National AI Index

Ghana's first comprehensive national measurement of AI readiness, adoption, governance, and impact across all sectors of the economy and society.

Why Ghana Needs a National AI Index

AI is already transforming Ghana — from fintech credit scoring to public service delivery to health diagnostics. Yet there is currently no systematic, national-level evidence base answering critical questions:

How ready is Ghana's infrastructure, skills base, and policy environment for AI?
Where and how is AI actually being deployed across sectors?
How well are AI systems governed — are they fair, transparent, accountable, and compliant with law?
What impact is AI having on financial inclusion, employment, health outcomes, and equity?

Policymakers, regulators, investors, and civil society are currently making decisions about AI without comprehensive evidence. The Ghana National AI Index will change this.

Global Context

How Ghana's Index Will Be Different
